With huge achievements scored by the Sheffield community.
The Crafty charity pot has discovered its Mo-jo this winter, and with the help of popular Sheffield pub the Fox & Duck and the University of Sheffield men’s rugby team, more than £6,500 has been raised for global men’s health charity the Movember Foundation!
The Fox & Duck rallied this incredible figure by getting quizzical and physical, serving as the starting and finishing point for the Sheffield half-marathon MoRun and playing host to themed quizzes for the local community. When Sheffielders weren’t dolled up in costumes for the whopping 13-mile run around the city, they were competing to win the title of the biggest brainiacs, with prizes like free drinks, vouchers and event tickets generously donated by the pub and rugby team.
But the biggest win was the £6,588 raised for a great cause, and pub operator Alex Dallas Brown couldn’t agree more: “The cause is very close to my heart, and I’d like to personally thank the Uni of Sheffield men’s rugby team who have been fantastic to collaborate with on our shared goal of changing the stigma around men’s mental health.”
Thanks to the help of the Sheffield community and the rest of our Craft family nationwide, an astounding £950,000 has now been raised towards our Make it a Million target – that’s right, we’re only £50,000 away from hitting the big £1M!
You incredible bunch have achieved so much, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the work you’ve put in for great local causes. Now, let’s keep it going and smash that target!
