We’ve Officially Made it a Million
Here’s a huge, heartfelt thank you for all the blood, sweat, tears & Crafty cheer.
Grab the party hats, blow up the balloons and let’s celebrate, because the charity fund has now hit £1,069,473!
That’s right – the bar has been well and truly smashed, and a huge seven figures worth of support has now been raised to help our much-loved local communities. And we couldn’t have done it without all the pubs and operators who have rustled up some community spirit and made it all happen!
Since February 2024, 455 Craft Union pubs have held nearly 2,000 fundraising events – that’s an average of five every single day! An incredible £972,660 has been raised by our local pubs, while Stonegate’s head office team contributed £96,813 to the incredible £1 million milestone.
Auctions, raffles, sponsored events, themed parties – it’s all been on the cards, bringing funding and support to countless charities, food banks and families in financial hardship across the country.
Here’s a look at some of the stand-outs in this past year of Make it a Million…
The Lord Protector, Huntingdon got nifty this year, repairing and donating bikes and hosting sponsored parachute jumps to raise a massive £23,750. The Garden House, Norwich raised an outstanding £20,000 for local causes, plus and extra £1,000 worth of food and essentials weekly. The Star, Roffey took on a sponsored abseil down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower to drum up a brilliant £12,500. The Craft Union Stomp raised £20,000, with teams traversing the UK for MNDA. And the Winter Warmth campaign donated over 4,000 essentials to those in need across the country.
All these efforts have made an exceptional difference in reaching our £1M target, but we’re not stopping yet!
Craft Union Managing Director Frazer Grimbleby says: “Reaching £1 million through our ‘Make it a Million’ campaign is a remarkable achievement. It’s a testament to the power of community spirit and the dedication of our Craft Union operators, guests and head office teams…[but] this milestone is just the beginning. We’re committed to continuing our support for communities across the UK and have exciting plans to ‘Make it Another Million’ in the coming year. Together, we’ll keep making a real difference to people’s lives.”
We want to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has taken part in this heart-warming display of spirit, especially our brilliant pub operators from far and wide. None of this could have been achieved without your dedication and donations, so give yourselves a much-deserved pat on the back, and let’s keep that charity fund going into this next year!
